Fleet Week 2015 is upon us (it runs from now through Memorial Day), and that means that there are all sorts of cool fleet week events for the people of Staten Island. Not only can you get on board a genuine Navy ship, but you can also rock out with the troops at a number of events taking place all weekend.
Join us for This Way on Bay’s third Mixer on Thursday May 21st, 2015. The event is being held at Santander Bank, which is located at 81 Water Street at the corner of Beach Street.
Earl, a resident of the Staten Island Zoo, is actually just a regular lamb who bears an uncanny resemblance to a panda bear. He’s still pretty cute.
The Cesar Sanchez Tribute Run will take place this Sunday May 10th, Mothers Day on Cesar’s 21st Birthday. Mother’s get a special gift for participating. It is a two mile run or walk starting at the FDR Boardwalk on Father Capdanno Blvd at Midland Avenue.
The indoor/outdoor event, which takes place at Joe Broadway’s on Forest Avenue, i complete with specials on margaritas, tacos, and coronas, as well as a mechanical bull for patrons to test their abilities as a cowboy.
Staten Island bicyclists unite! This Sunday Staten Island hosts the Tour de Staten Island, a ride-at-your-own-pace adventure through the forgotten borough. The Tour de Staten Island offers variations on the ride, consisting of a route that makes it’s way through the historic north shore.
Thursday April 16th, This Way on Bay presents it’s second “3rd Thursday” mixer. This month’s “Spring Party” is being hosted at the NYC Arts Cypher, and will feature hors d’oeuvres, live music, and an invaluable networking opportunity for all of those in attendance!
This Way on Bay is pleased to announce that for the second year in a row, a free, celebratory event is planned on Saturday, March 28th, 2015 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
