Things to Do
As 2019 kicks off, soon enough the weather will change and the outside activities hindered by the winter season will become available once again. On Staten Island, we pride ourselves for our beautiful scenery, historic sites, and landmarks. City parks, museums, and landmark tours are only a few things on the long list of activities once the weather heats up. Historic Staten Island can be a great place to bring your family and spend time outdoors.
The Staten Island Museum will host Black Lunch Table, an ongoing collaboration between artists Heather Hart and Jina Valentine that facilitates discussions of issues pertaining to race and culture
It’s a real treat when you get to actually experience an old fashioned outdoor thrift like the Yankee Peddler Day event at Historic Richmond Town, taking place on May 6th from 10am to 5pm.
Starting on November 25th and running through December 23rd, the first annual Winter Wonderland SI will be taking place at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark.
Staten Island has the reputation of being undervalued and underloved. Live on the Scene, hosted by the Richmond Renegade on Saturday, August 19 from 8 PM to 2 AM at Amendment 18 (691 Bay Street, Staten Island, NY 10304), is a music scene event designed to combat this established notion and show some love to the art scene on Staten Island.
