PrideFest 2017 begins today!

Pride Center of Staten Island’s annual celebration will highlight the rich diversity of our LGBTQ and allied community for the next nine days by featuring 11 events hosted at local businesses and community centers across the borough.

Here is a list of upcoming events:

Friday, May 12, 2017


7:00 pm PrideFest Kick Off Party at Cafe Del Mondo
Tickets cost $25, ages 21+

7:00 pm Youth Prom at Cafe Del Mondo
Tickets cost $40, ages 14-20

Saturday, May 13, 2017


6:00-9:00 pm PrideFest Art Show at Pride Center
Event is free and features groundbreaking art by Vladimir Rios and Lester Blum

Sunday, May 14, 2017


12:00-3:00 pm CommUNITY Picnic at Midland Beach BBQ Area 1
Event is free, must bring own food. Water and games provided

Monday, May 15, 2017


6:00-9:00 pm Sober Coffee House at Pride Center
Event is free and open to all ages

Tuesday, May 16, 2017


7:00-10:00 pm Spectrum -a Transgender Open Mic Night at Flagship Brewery
Event is free, ages 21+

Wednesday, May 17, 2017


4:00-9:00 pm Community Day @ Chipolte
50% of the proceeds will be donated to Pride Center

Thursday, May 18, 2017

Peace and dialogue between religions. Christian symbols, jew and Islamic

7:00-9:00 pm Interfaith Event at Temple Israel Reform Congregation
Event is free and people of all faiths are welcome

Friday, May 19, 2017


6:00-9:00 pm PrideFest Potluck at Pride Center
Event is free, must bring dish to share

Saturday, May 20, 2017


9:00 am 5K Pride Fun Run at Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden.
This 5K is held on a USA Track and Field Certified course for competitive runners, but all are welcome to participate. The race will take place on the grounds of Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Gardens. Tracking chips, race bibs, and race statistics are available to runners in each age category. Registering as a walker gives you a race bib with number, but does not include tracking and statistics. Registration also includes a race t-shirt.

 

12:00-6:00 pm SI PrideFest at Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden
Event is free, featuring local artists, musicians, food trucks and craft vendors.

8:00 pm SI PrideFest After Party at Amendment 18
Event is free, ages 21+
