Young Lucid, Staten Island’s hip-hop wunderkind, is part of this Friday’s SI Performing Arts festival in an event called the “Stories of Staten Island Concert Series.”
Fleet Week 2015 is upon us (it runs from now through Memorial Day), and that means that there are all sorts of cool fleet week events for the people of Staten Island. Not only can you get on board a genuine Navy ship, but you can also rock out with the troops at a number of events taking place all weekend.
You might have heard that we’re hosting our third This Way on Bay this Thursday afternoon at Santander Bank in Stapleton. One of the highlights of that event will be the presence of four talented Staten Island artists who we’d like to introduce you to here.
Currently the team has no infielders, two outfielders, one catcher, 5 pitchers listed as officially on the roster. While the team should be proud to see so many of its players from 2014 move on up to higher levels, it leaves what was once a perennial powerhouse in a very peculiar situation.
Not content just fielding Staten Island’s lone professional sports team, the Staten Island Yankees are looking to expand their stadium to be something more.
