Staten Island’s Casey Jost, Is J.J. Abrams in “Star Wars: The Force of Abrams,” a new video short by digital comedy network, Above Average. The clip, which has already been shared by Entertainment Weekly, pokes fun at Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ direcot Abrams’ tendency to rehash revitalize the work of other filmmakers.

Spanish pop-punk act, Balloon Fights, recently released a new album. Now, normally we wouldn’t be covering music from outside of the borough, let alone from outside of the country, but this release is special. Why? Because for some reason, Balloon Fights decided to call their new album “Staten Island.” It’s cover even features the Verrazano Bridge in all of it’s majesty.
