Ettore grew up working in the restaurant & catering business from the age of 12. He graduated from the College of Staten Island with a Bachelors's in Mathematics & Finance in 1985. In 1986 he started Chez Vous caterers from the basement of his home in Dongan Hills and caters parties at homes and businesses in the tri-state area. In Oct 1987 he rented the first floor of Edgewater Hall at 691 Bay Street. A few years later he added the party rental division to Chez Vous. In 1998 he purchased Edgewater Hall and renovated the first and second floors making them party spaces. Shortly thereafter he purchased from his tenant the cellar bar creating Dock Street Underground a live music venue. His creative projects include his CD Sweet on You, his book, It’s Your Right to be Fit, Sexed, and Happy, So Claim It, and he is developing a TV series called Business Underground. His record labels Hanz On Music and Dock Street Records has produced Method Man's "The Meth Lab." and produces 2nd Generation Wu projects.

The North Shore of Staten Island has been home to great beers for over 150 years. Today you can find great beer at Abode Blues, The Craft House & Flagship Brewery.

The Cesar Sanchez Tribute Run will take place this Sunday May 10th, Mothers Day on Cesar’s 21st Birthday. Mother’s get a special gift for participating. It is a two mile run or walk starting at the FDR Boardwalk on Father Capdanno Blvd at Midland Avenue.

Kudos to all those involved in transforming the 2 mile stretch along Father Capodanno Blvd. The first noticeable thing was the cleanliness. There was not one piece of garbage along the entire length.

The “Core Four” are the former New York Yankees baseball players Derek Jeter, Andy Pettitte, Jorge Posada, and Mariano Rivera. It has also been coined by Staten Island Borough President James Oddo as the four major developments on the North Shore of Staten Island. Staten Island Stained Glass | This Way on Bay

Stained Glass is a lost art. One of the few Stained Glass Artisans, William Butt, Staten Island Stained Glass is located right here on the North Shore.

New York City residents are now able to sign up for IDNYC, a government issued identification card that is available to all City residents age 14 and older in 25 languages. Immigration status does not matter. The largest municipal identification card program in the nation was launched in January of this year.

This Way on Bay’s neighborhood is known by three names each originally with its own distinction: The North Shore, Downtown Staten Island & the Bay Street Corridor.

The National Lighthouse Museum in association with the Creative Photographers Guild presented The First National Juried Photography Show “Lighthouse Stories & Tales of the Sea” opening on Saturday.
