Things to Do
The office of the Borough President announced that the 2015 Sunset Concert series earlier this summer. If you haven’t made it out to any of the shows yet, there are still a handful for you to attend. The next concert on the schedule takes place in Historic Richmondtown in July 30th, features “AIRTITE” and begins at 7pm.
Next Tuesday, July 28th, Staten Island Arts will be hosting their Mid-Summer Meet and Greet from 7-10pm at Flagship Brewery. At the event, the organization promises a chance to chance to “meet & greet” our new Executive Director Christopher Hellstrom, our Board of Directors, and staff. We recently featured Flagship Brewery as one of the best places to grab a craft beer on Staten Island.

Beginning this weekend Saturday, July 18th, and running every weekend until Labor Day, The Staten Island Yankees presents Staten Island BeachFest 2015. This 8 weekend long festival will take place at FIVE Staten Island locations simultaneously with free events, giveaways, art shows, music, vendors, rides and more.
If you live on Staten Island and are fan of fireworks and/or music, prepare for a treat. Throughout the summer, for Boardwalk Days at South Beach, (presented by The Boardwalk Events Initiatives Group) our skies will be graced by fireworks shows while our ears will be serenaded by music.
If I were to create an itinerary for a visitor this weekend to Staten Island , it would be difficult to stray away from the Bay Street Corridor and here’s why – Simply put, the fun never stops, rain or shine.
Next Wednesday, June 24th, you can join the Historic Tappen Park Community Partnership at Celebrate Stapleton. The event, which promises guests “A taste of Stapleton” from area mainstays Lakruwana, Chez Vous Caterers, Bay House Bistro, and Vida.
This Sunday, the Staten Island team behind RestaurantCrawl.us is hosting the Park Slope Restaurant Crawl in Brooklyn. The event, which runs from 1pm to 7pm, features samples from the best eateries in our neighboring borough.
