The Staten Island Yankees, Flagship Brewery and Ho’Brah Tacos have recently teamed up to form ‘The Unforgettable Team’ in order to present special events together.

We’ve created an embed of Google’s timelapse map of Staten Island. It’s interesting to see events like the construction of Richmond County Ballpark and the renovation of Fresh Kills happen in the blink of an eye.

Thanks to YouTuber, Daniel Kurish, we can watch a Staten Island Yankees game at Richmond County Ballpark in 47 seconds. His video “Staten Island Timelapse” features an entire Staten Island Yankees game, complete with a cameo from a gorgeous Manhattan skyline, in just under a minute. It’s really pretty cool.

Staten Island is the real life Westeros, and we now know this for sure because “Game of Thrones” creator George R.R. Martin is making a trip here to catch one of our fabled Staten Island Yankees baseball matches.

We’re seeing more and more video lately, of Staten Islanders taking their drones up on the island, giving us views that we’ve never been tall enough to take in. For this trip, YouTuber, InvincibleDon1, takes us on a tour of the air above the Staten Island Ferry Terminal in St. George. You get some pretty great visuals of the Verrazano Bridge, Richmond County Ballpark, and the Manhattan skyline from that area.

Beginning this weekend Saturday, July 18th, and running every weekend until Labor Day, The Staten Island Yankees presents Staten Island BeachFest 2015. This 8 weekend long festival will take place at FIVE Staten Island locations simultaneously with free events, giveaways, art shows, music, vendors, rides and more.

View From The New York Wheel

If you’ve been curious what it might be like to ride on board the planned New York Wheel, you’re in luck. Youtuber, Scott Grella, sent a drone up in the location where the “observation wheel” will be constructed in the near future.

Not content just fielding Staten Island’s lone professional sports team, the Staten Island Yankees are looking to expand their stadium to be something more.

Ground was broken yesterday on the highly anticipated Empire Outlets, planned for Saint George. This celebration was attended by local politicians and SI luminaries, and hosted at Richmond County Ballpark.
