For those of you who haven’t heard, the grand opening of The Staten Island museum at Snug Harbor is fast approaching. One of the more unique exhibits that the museum will feature is a 10 foot tall Mastadon, representative of the early Mastadon inhabitants of Staten Island’s hills.
The video crew from 50/50 Skatepark took a trip to the abandoned Seaview Hospital and caught some interesting views. Watch as the guys explore the various buildings within the complex.

Thanks to YouTuber, Daniel Kurish, we can watch a Staten Island Yankees game at Richmond County Ballpark in 47 seconds. His video “Staten Island Timelapse” features an entire Staten Island Yankees game, complete with a cameo from a gorgeous Manhattan skyline, in just under a minute. It’s really pretty cool.
East Village pizza haven, GG’s has staten Island roots. Their executive chef, Bobby Hellen, brought the Zagat culinary experts back to his hometown of Staten Island to show how famed Staten Island pizzerias Denino’s and Joe & Pats inspired the menu at GG’s.
We’re seeing more and more video lately, of Staten Islanders taking their drones up on the island, giving us views that we’ve never been tall enough to take in. For this trip, YouTuber, InvincibleDon1, takes us on a tour of the air above the Staten Island Ferry Terminal in St. George. You get some pretty great visuals of the Verrazano Bridge, Richmond County Ballpark, and the Manhattan skyline from that area.
Back in May we posted some cool video of a drone flying over Staten Island infamous ship graveyard and you guys seemed to really enjoy it. Well, fans of that video will be excited to learn that the people at 50/50 Skatepark decided to show their point of view, which happened to be from a GoPro on a kayak, on YouTube.
