One of the exciting exhibits featured during this week’s Illuminate Stapleton art festival is “I Am Stapleton,” The exhibit is a collaboration between The Historic Tappen Park Community Partnership & Mike Shane Photography.
Once Upon A Time in Staten Island is a film by producer and longtime Staten Islander, Athur Siegel. The video, is a trailer for the film which combines still photos of Staten Island between the years of 1940 and 1963.
Staten Island drone enthusiast, Johnny Drone, is back with another great video shot with his DGI Phantom III. This clip, shot off the coast of South Beach takes us on a flyover of what Johnny refers to as “a mystery island” We get some beautiful shots of the island, which is actually Hoffman Island, featuring the Verrazano Bridge in the background.
Today’s episode of Off The Beaten Path brings Rachel, a writer and online personality, to a Warriors of Wrestling match on Staten Island, where she speaks to wrestler Bright Lights. This video is well produced, we’d love to see more!

For those of you who haven’t heard, the grand opening of The Staten Island museum at Snug Harbor is fast approaching. One of the more unique exhibits that the museum will feature is a 10 foot tall Mastadon, representative of the early Mastadon inhabitants of Staten Island’s hills.

They’re in the food court at the mall, clogging up the expressway with their SUVs, and taking up all of the parking spots at Denino’s… okay it’s not that bad, but the animals can be dangerous and there certainly has been an increase in the island’s deer population within the last 15 years.
