‘The Daily Show’ Takes On Staten Island’s Deer Problem

by | Jul 28, 2018 | Comedy on Bay, Featured

Over the past few years, the problem of deer overpopulation and incidents involving deer getting hit by cars and destroying outdoor property has seen a pretty dramatic increase.

Just this week, ‘The Daily Show’ aired a segment featuring correspondent Desi Lydic where she spoke to a few deer experts, as well as some Staten Island locals, to get some answers.

The answers ranged from strategically giving the deer vasectomies down to some dude implying he was going to put a deer in a headlock.

Yeah, they take the typical jabs at the spray tanned, MTV version of Staten Island we’re used to seeing as the punching bag. But, also, some of the guys were hitting on Desi near the end and it didn’t exactly come off great.

What did you think of the piece? How would you help curb the deer population? Think The Daily Show unfairly went in on Staten Island?
