Between now and the middle of 2017, Staten Islanders will see steady progress on the New York Wheel project in St. George. As time goes on, the development site will slowly start to look like the mammoth observation wheel we’ve seen in renderings.
This clip is about two months old at this point, but based on the view count I’m assuming that most of you haven’t seen it. Back in may, YouTube user Holly Bosshard posted this clip of a Humpback Whale breaching with a view of the Verrazano Bridge in the background.

With the release of the much-anticipated reboot of the 1980’s classic Ghostbusters in theaters, there have been a ton of internet content from online creators jumping on the bandwagon. Staten Island’s internet superheroes, Dog and Pony Show, were sure to join the party.
Cue Trax Studios opened last month at 691L Bay Street, right next door to Dock Street. The space, which some visitors might recognize from Method Man’s “The Meth Lab” video, has been fully outfitted with everything necessary to create the next big artist. The man behind the music is it’s namesake, CueTrax, a Wu Tang Clan affiliate with an impressive resume of his own.

Local Staten Island author Chris Knight along with his illustrator Richard Harris, have booked a book-signing event for later this month.
Ok, so the Staten Island we all know and love, the fifth and forgotten borough of the city of New York, is not the only Staten Island in the world. In fact, it’s not the only Staten Island in the Americas. Crazy, right?
