A ride on the ferry takes roughly 25 minutes to get from St. George in Staten Island to Battery Park in Manhattan. If Staten Island Ferry commuters could travel at the speed of the timelapse above, you’d see a whole lot more Manhattanites setting up camp on our SI shores. Don Arangio, a filmmaker and native of St. George, made this short and interesting video as “the next best thing” for those of you who “can’t ride the ferry today”
