Last week, Staten Islander Jamie Lynn Macchia was crowned Miss New York at the historic St. George Theater. The 23 year old has been competing for the title since 2012, and is now on her way to represent the island, New York City, and New York State in the Miss America competition.
Macchia, an Eltingville resident who graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wagner College, will take the stage at the Miss America pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey on September 13th, 2015.
