Taylor Bosco is a fitness professional who was born and raised on Staten Island. Now based in Los Angeles, California, she’s on a mission to improve people’s life quality through the power of health.

One of Taylor’s philosophies centers around the fact that you don’t need to be cramped in a gym to get a good workout. Luckily for us, Staten Island has 300 acres of parkland and 4 miles of ocean walkways. Taylor Bosco encourages you to tak advantage of all of that, enjoy the outdoors, and get fit.

In her Empower Your Life Video, Taylor takes you on an outdoor journey.

We had the opportunity to ask Taylor a few questions about her journey and how virtual fitness can improve your life. Here’s what she had to say:

What inspired you to pursue fitness? When? What Age?

Since I was in 6th grade, I struggled to feel energized or all around “good”. I had daily pain from scoliosis and chronic migraines, on top of wanting to be in the best shape I could be in. I would go for runs and do workout videos, but I hadn’t done anything consistently. I was a “I try to workout 4 times a week” type of person instead of “I do workout 4 times a week” type of person for the next 8 years. It wasn’t until I was 21 that I re-discovered fitness and nutrition. I always liked it, but never truly pursued it. So I decided to start learning as much as possible and started really listening to my body. I had friends and family asking for advice, and helping them was my favorite part of it. So, I knew I was moving in the right direction and became certified in personal training two years ago. I finally found the career I am passionate about. I was meant to do this. After introducing an actual schedule for workouts done the smart way, I started to discover what it felt like to be at your healthiest. Basically, it makes you feel like the superhero of your own life. This was a game changer for me, as it not only changed my physical body, but it also increased the power of my mind drastically. I want everyone else to feel how good they are designed to feel!!

What are the benefits of virtual fitness?

The truth is we are all extremely busy in our lives, and it’s hard to spend 2 hours in a gym. It’s also hard to know what to do when working out and it’s even harder to be able to afford an in-person personal trainer on top of gym fees. So, I decided to take my personal training online, where I can help millions of people become the best version of themselves. Plus, I could get the cost of having a personal trainer way down if I did it online. Every program I design for clients is so personalized, that following a consistent plan is now much more simple. If they want or need to, they can do their workouts right in their own living room. Therefore, my clients reach success!

What are your future aspirations?

By 2017, I want to have helped over 15,000 people reach at least one goal through the power of fitness & health. I also want to tour the world teaching workouts at a huge event, with music blasting and hundreds of people coming together to better themselves and support each other while doing so. My first stop would obviously be on Staten Island. Oh and maybe one day I’ll run from LA to Staten Island, inspired by Forrest Gump… haha, just kidding.
