You may have noticed a post from City & State that’s circulating around the social media world recently heralding the 50 Most Influential people on Staten Island. There are some very successful people on this list, people who have done a lot for our island. They’re all worthy of the praise and should be noted for the things that they’ve done.
One criticism that we’ve heard in reaction to this list, however, is that it’s biased towards Staten Island residents who are older. That got us thinking, who are the influential Staten Islanders who will be making an even bigger impact in the coming years.
Who are the doers, makers, thinkers, and dreamers that should be recognized for the work they’re doing now to shape the direction, image, and future of Staten Island?
So, we’re going to take a crack at making our own list of 50 Influential Staten Islanders under 50. But we need your help. We obviously don’t know everyone on this island. But with our powers combined, we can find them all! So, fill out the form below and nominate some younger SI residents who you think are making an impact. It can be anyone, they just need to live here, and be under 50. Then let us know why. (Yes, you can and should nominate multiple people. Nominate yourself. Nominate Me. Go crazy!)
Here are the rules:
- Fill out the form below
- Nominate a person/people for inclusion on our list
- Make sure they’re under 50
- Make sure they live on Staten Island
We hope to hear from all of you! Then we’ll take it from there, just follow TWOB on Facebook or Twitter to see the results this fall!
