Staten Island’s Matthew Provenzano, filmmaker, critic and YouTuber, debuted a feature-length film last week at the Atrium Cinemas in Great Kills.
“Martini Shot!” (trailer above) tells the story of Ryan Wise, a young amateur filmmaker with big dreams of making one day as a director, if he can only overcome the many obstacles in his way, including a band of less-than talented characters and a bad case of Murphy’s Law.
When he is not behind the camera, Provenzano is the creator of a popular YouTube Channel — Mattimation. His original films, on-point movie reviews, and hilarious “top 10 lists” have attracted more than 13,000 subscribers and nearly five million views.
