Downtown Staten Island

Thanks to Youtuber ActionKid105, you can now take an extended video walk down the entirety of Bay Street. From the St. George Ferry Terminal to Von Briesen Park.

This year, the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce Foundation has been providing much needed funds targeted at storefront and business restoration via the Stapleton Storefront Enhancement Grant Program.

It’s Valentine’s Day on Staten Island and lots of local businesses are spreading the love (in the way of discounts to our local shoppers)

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of announcing in one of my posts that there is an event taking place in Stapleton as the result of a grant which was awarded this year to the Historic Tappen Park Community Partnership (HTPCP) by NYC in order to unify Stapleton. A meeting concerning this was held on March 25th and guidelines were distributed regarding the submission process for artists to participate.

It is a known fact that business expansion and cultural growth are a winning combination for any community . Staten Island’s vast transformation promises to create such opportunities for businesses and their patrons as well as artists and their followers.

This Way on Bay’s neighborhood is known by three names each originally with its own distinction: The North Shore, Downtown Staten Island & the Bay Street Corridor.
